We operate an appointments system only.

Please note the GP's have a 10 minute late policy. If you arrive for your appointment more than 10 minutes late, you will be asked to rebook.

Triage Services

We operate a Triage system at Old Town Surgery whereby a nurse prescriber can contact you initially by telephone once an initial request has been made by the patient

Sue Geerah is the practice triage nurse. Sue is available Monday to Friday from 08:00 - 13:30. She can assess, diagnose and treat minor illnesses either over the telephone or face to face.

Sometimes she may feel it necessary to either be placed on the doctor's telephone list or to give you an emergency appointment with the appropriate Healthcare professional.

This does not interfere with your ability to make a routine doctor’s appointment.

If you find that you are unable to keep an appointment, please let us know AS SOON AS POSSIBLE so that we can re-allocate the appointment time to another patient. Non-attendance for appointments is unacceptable without notice, and you may be asked to register elsewhere is you are a frequent non-responder.

Late Policy

We ask that all our patients adhere to the Old Town Surgery 10 minute late policy. Please be courteous to other patients by arriving at the surgery in plenty of time for your appointment.

The doctors will not see patients that are more than 10 minutes late for their appointment. This is for the benefit of all patients.
